Event overview
The RSE Asia Association and the RSE Association of Australia and New Zealand are inviting you to the third online Research Software Engineer (RSE) Asia Australia Unconference – RSEAA24. The theme for this year is “Sharing Tech Architectures”.
What Is an Unconference?
An unconference is where the agenda is created by the attendees at the beginning of the meeting. Anyone who wants to initiate a discussion on a topic can claim a time and a space.
For RSEAA24 there will be breakout groups for the top 3 topics for each session. At the start of each day, there will be an introduction session to provide the participants with some guidance and topics will be summarised and made publicly available after the unconference.
This year, there will be an extra day for a Leaders Forum on 10 September.
Audience
The target audience is researchers and academics who code or software engineers who work in the research domain.
There are scholarships and micro-grants available as well.
RSEAA24 will be of interest to you if you want to:
- share the interesting work you have done in research software
- learn from others how to make research software more visible
- discuss with peers how to make research software easier to use
- learn about how others streamline and scale research workflows
- discuss with others how they balance researcher needs with good software practices.
