About this Provider

AuScope is Australia’s provider of geoscience research facilities, data, software and services for researchers in academia, government and industry, and for everyone including policy makers, media professionals, educators, students, citizen scientists and members of the general public—in Australia and abroad. We support research in natural resources, climate change and natural hazards, as well as fundamental planetary science.

AuScope’s collection of laboratories, instruments, data, software and expertise is accessible for researchers in Earth and geospatial science in academia, government and industry. If you are working to address Australia’s natural resources (minerals, energy and groundwater) and natural hazards challenges, or to answer fundamental questions in Earth and planetary science – please get in touch – experts at AuScope are here to support your endeavour.

  • For policy makers: Upon request, we can coordinate timely, expert briefings on geoscience research developments across Australia to assist policy making activities in state government, federal government, council, NGOs and more.
  • For media professionals: We have news for you! Please reach out anytime you need to speak to an expert or need help translating complex geoscience breakthroughs for the public.
  • For university educators: The AuScope team is filled with enthusiastic scientists and science communicators who have knowledge to share in or for your lecture theatre and laboratory. If you would like to access expertise in the AuScope team or the wider Australian geoscience community please reach out, we’re ready to help!
  • For school educators: AuScope supports ongoing and pop up education experiences for school students around Australia, and develops teaching resources. Get in touch!
