The Trusted Data Repositories for the National Imaging Facility project brought together researchers and informatics specialists from UQ’s Centre for Advanced Imaging (CAI), Monash Biomedical Imaging (MBI), Monash eResearch Centre, the University of Western Australia, RCC (Research Computing Centre, UQ) and the University of NSW to establish best practices for TDRs to store imaging data nationally, through the NIF network. The project also used the international CoreTrustSeal criteria to validate and improve data repositories at the four participating institutions. This combination of standardised best practices and enhanced data repository enables re-users of the associated imaging data to have greater confidence about its reliability and applicability for reuse.
The Project, Delivering durable, reliable, high-quality image data, was jointly funded by the Australian Research Data Commons (previously known as Australian National Data Service and Research Data Services).
