Dr Beryl Morris is the Director of Australia’s environmental capability (TERN), providing multiscale, long-term data collected from land, aquatic, and coastal ecosystems to enable research, modelling and prediction of environmental change. Beryl has been the CEO of several companies in the life/biological sciences area and a Director of listed companies and not-for-profits. She has worked in executive roles in both the public and private sectors, leading organisational change and strategic planning. Beryl has run award-winning national science communication programs, commercialised technology and authored books and papers on a range of topics in the fields of science, education, and management. Beryl has an international reputation in forensic entomology. She helped establish the Global Ecosystem Research Infrastructure (GERI) initiative and serves on international scientific advisory committees and governance groups.
